Recognize The Defining Moments Of Your Life

Defining moments define men and women. The reason David is being talked about today is because he recognized his defining moment. David battling the bear and confronting the lion were not his defining moments, they were training moments for him while his fighting Goliath was a defining moment. Will you be ready for your defining moment when it comes? Will you also be in the form and shape to take advantage of your defining moment?

Your defining moment will be associated with an event, sometimes with some personalities or a set of circumstances. It could be a task, an opportunity or prophetic utterances that will key you into your defining moment. For example, the defining moment for Rahab the harlot came when two spies came and they needed a place to hide in Jericho.
There are some things God sovereignly chose for us without our opinion and there is nothing we can do about that. Your destiny is your responsibility to discover and you must learn to identify the events in your defining moments. As a father, you must understand this. You must understand that certain events don't just happen by chance. God always gives you an opportunity to do something like sowing a seed that will carry weight in heaven. This is to ensure that on the day you need a divine provocation to do something for you, there will be something to hold on to – a seed in the ground to reap from.

Train yourself to recognize events, activities and requests that are not normal. Great offers of God often come in seemingly insignificant packages. The next level of God for you could come in your running errands for the anointed, but the attitude and passion with which you do the act will determine whether you connect to your moment or not. Sometimes, the job that will connect you to the position of the head of your organization could be a very simple, innocent-looking job. You must cultivate the habit of doing small things in a great way. Train yourself to do simple things in a perfect way because you never can tell where it would lead you. This was the attitude of Joseph that took him from His father's house to Egypt, to Potiphar's house, to the prison and finally to the throne.

Prayer: Lord, I receive a sensitivity to recognize and connect to my divine moment. I pray for a connection mindset to see the doing of the Lord and respond accurately to the Lord’s demand in Jesus’ name. Amen.
