UK employers looking for ONP and NMC Pin Numbered nurses

The new registration process set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) for overseas registered nurses, who want to work in the UK, will be changing in October 2014: It will comprise of an online application and a two part competence test which will replace the current Overseas Nurses Programme (ONP). NMC decision letters already secured by overseas nurses are still valid. Those who hold this Invitation letter and are asked to take the ONP can complete the program and will not need to undergo the tests of competency.
In addition, applicants who are already at the second stage of registration will still fall under the old NMC system. As per NMC, applicants who are processed before October 2014 will still be able to complete the ONP.

Applicants who will be awarded NMC decision letters before September 2014, will be offered a choice of either the ONP or the competence tests. Continue...

As of now, there are a number of employers here in the UK who are looking for ONP and PIN numbered nurses, both from inside and outside the UK. To be eligible to apply, you have to meet certain requirements.
ONP Nurses
There are Tier 2 sponsorships available for overseas nurses who are required to take the Overseas Nursing Programme (ONP). On your application for a registration with the NMC, you must meet the following requirements before you are allowed to take the ONP. Please also note that though there will be a new process to be followed this October, these requirements will still be in place.

Ø       Be a registered nurse
Ø       Have a minimum of 12 months experience as a registered nurse. However, if you have acquired the experience of being a registered nurse more than 12 months ago, you must have a minimum of 450 hours of nursing experience within the last three years
Ø       Academic IELTS minimum score of 7.0 in each category
These requirements are the same for any overseas nurse, whether you are outside or inside the UK. However, if you have been to the UK before or are currently in the UK, your immigration history will also be assessed in order to check your eligibility and compliance with the conditions of your visa. This assessment can’t be completed over the phone, as you will be required to send copies of your documents via email in order to verify the information.
NMC Pin Numbered Nurses
There are also vacancies for Pin numbered nurses. To be eligible, applicants must have a UK NMC Pin Number and must have the legal rights to work in the UK. (Eligible for Tier 2 sponsorship)

There are several employers looking for qualified nurses to work for them. So, grab this opportunity now. If you’re aiming to work in the UK, send us an email at mrandmrsfrank2014@gmail.com, and we’ll be happy to help.
