The word
‘love’ has been abused by those who know nothing about it and that is because
they know nothing about God.
Love is not
a western idea or philosophy. Love originated from God who also is the creator
of marriage. This piece is a continuation of Marriage and Love.
When He
made them (Adam and Eve); He joined them (cemented them together) with a material called Love. That was why He told the man to leave his fathers’
house and join or cleave to the woman in love .This is not a formula but a
clear picture of God’s design for marriage. Continue...
Jesus is
our perfect example of this kind of love. The bible (1 Corinthians 13:4-8) shows
us what this love entails. Friends ,a blissful marriage life is possible if you
apply the things mentioned in this write up. Obviously you have to know Him,
the Love personified - Jesus, then the Holy-Spirit will help this love to flow
in our hearts (Roman 5:5).
Are you
married but not enjoying your marriage? Then
ask your self this sincere question - Is God the ‘joiner? Did you involve Him
from the beginning? If your answer is no, then bring it to the feet of the 'Architect'
Himself. I assure you He is able to go to your past and correct errors, thus giving you a new beginning. You
just hand it over to Him. Stop playing the blame game.
Are you engaged
to someone already planning to get married I congratulate you, because you
still have the opportunity to correct your future with your spouse to be before
you say I do. Is God the one bringing you together? If you can not find God in it (this is
characterised by lack of peace on the matter, lack of conviction), I advice you
take sometime off that relationship and sort it out with God first.
If you are
sure God is in the marriage then Love is possible; as He impacted His love into
you when he was bringing you together. You have the capacity to love let it
come out.
One thing
you must understand is that we learn to love. Learning is bringing out what is
already embedded in you. Practice 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and you will see your
life and marriage change for better.
